Steelhead fishing is on fire!

Today was an awesome day on the Pere Marquette River. Mike , Geno n I fished the upper and lower flys today we had 8 steelhead on and landed 5 very nice brown trout and skipper steelheads. Our only problem was we couldent land a steelhead…diddent matter how hard we tryed, how careful we were, how much time we took it just wasent ment to be….we did have some very very nice 10 to 12 pound males on and still even the 6 pound steelhead were taking us to school today. well thats fishing and no matter what, it was a blast to be out there doing what we love to do. Now….when the water goes down in these comming days there are going to be steelhead everywhere…do not wait to fish in April like years past… you will be sorry cause steelhead are here now.
